ATLANTA (Reuters) - The Atlanta Thrashers re-signed restricted free-agent forward Andrew Ladd to a one-year deal, the team said Thursday.
The 24-year-old left-winger will earn $2.35 million next season, according to local media reports.
Ladd, obtained in trade with the Chicago Blackhawks earlier this month, appeared in all 82 games for the Stanley Cup champions last season, recording a career-high 17 goals along with 21 assists.
He also contributed three goals and three assists to the Blackhawks' run to the Stanley Cup.
Taken with the fourth overall pick in the 2004 NHL draft, Ladd has compiled 49 goals and 71 assists in 137 career games with Calgary, Vancouver and Chicago.
