SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - The trial of a Milwaukee drug dealer charged with killing a rival Milwaukee drug dealer in Sheboygan came to an end Friday with a guilty verdict.
26-year-old Michael Moffett was convicted of first degree intentional homicide after a jury of 7 women and 5 men did not think his shooting of Luis DeLeon was done in self-defense.
The jury reached their verdict after deliberating for five hours. Following his conviction, Moffett’s attorney asked for a pre-sentence investigation to determine if Moffett should ever be considered for release. His homicide conviction stipulates a life imprisonment term.
Judge Timothy Van Akkeren reads the Michael Moffett verdict.
