Sheboygan, Wis (WHBL) Sheboygan Police are keeping an extra eye on Sheboygan North high school after rumors were flying over the weekend about someone bringing a gun to school. Lt. Brad Riddiough of the Sheboygan Police Department said they had been inundated with calls from concerned parents over the weekend. Riddiough said the apparent threats were linked to a fight between two students which occurred last week. He said with today’s communications such as Twitter, Face-book, and text messaging, the report of someone bringing a gun to school took on a life of its own. He said the matter was investigated thoroughly by the school resource officer who was unable to confirm it. Riddiough said, however, police are taking the matter very seriously and will have an increased presence at North today.
